Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens does not share personal information with other organizations or businesses. The Gardens are committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our Web site or use the site to purchase tickets, register for programs, take out memberships, sign-up for e-newsletters, make contributions, or shop. When you provide personal information, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ Privacy Policy, outlined below.

Online Purchases/Registrations
When you order tickets or register for programs on the Web site, we need to know your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information to process your order. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction. So that we can track your order, we will retain your order information for our records.

Online Memberships
When you purchase a membership online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need to process the membership and to acknowledge your contribution. This information includes your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. If it’s a gift membership, we’ll need the recipients’ names, addresses, and e-mail addresses, and information about how you want the new members to receive their the gift. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction.

Online Donations
When you support Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens with a contribution online, we will ask you to provide information we need to process and acknowledge your contribution: your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction.

Online Surveys
From time to time, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens may invite you to participate in surveys on our Web site. Your participation is entirely optional. We use this information to help us understand our visitors and your experience at the Gardens, as well as programs and events you might want us to present. No personal information from these surveys is ever disclosed to third parties, although the Gardens may disclose summaries of the results and individual comments to third parties, maintaining the responders’ anonymity.

E-Newsletters and E-Mail Messages
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens sends out periodic e-newsletters with updates on programs and events and other useful information, opportunities, and invitations. We will send these to those on our list of e-mail addresses, but in each issue, you will have the opportunity to opt out of future issues.

In addition, we may use e-mail messages to provide information we believe may be of interest and advantageous to you. If you do not want us to use your e-mail address for these purposes, you may send an e-mail message to that effect and including your name and e-mail address to info@mainegardens.org.

Children Twelve and Under
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens does not solicit personal information from children. Web site visitors aged 12 years and under are required to obtain an adult's permission before submitting any personal information to this or any other Web site.
