Cancellation Policy
We know there are times when you simply have to cancel your plans. Therefore, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens has created cancellation policies for program and event participants and also offers ways for you to find out whether something is canceled due to weather.

Cancellations Due to Weather
If a Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens program is cancelled due to weather, we will contact TV stations WCSH-6, WGME-13, and WMTW-8. You can either watch their broadcasts or visit their Web sites for weather-related cancellations. If possible, we will also leave a message on our answering machine; call 207-633-4333.

Cancellation Policy for Program Participants
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens education programs often have limited space available and frequently fill up in advance with waiting lists of other people who hope to attend. Therefore, we generally request reservations. We recognize, though, that it’s sometimes necessary to miss a program for which you’ve pre-registered. So that others might have a chance to attend, and so we won’t lose money on classes on which we make little or no profit, we ask that you call as soon as you know you won’t be able to participate. The following cancellation policy applies:

If you call to cancel at least two business days in advance, you will receive a full refund of fees paid or, if you prefer, a credit in that amount to be used for one future class. If you choose to use the credit for a program with a lower fee, there will be no additional refund.

With less than 24 hours notice, you will receive a credit towards a future class but no refund. If you choose to use the credit for a program with a lower fee, there will be no additional refund.

If the class has a materials fee, lunch fee, or other added fees, there will be no refund for that portion of the class fee no matter when you cancel.

If someone has registered and paid but does not call to cancel a reservation, there will be no refund or credit issued.
