Rebecca Jacobs
Education Coordinator
Rebecca’s love for the environment stems from her childhood in Vermont, particularly from her summers on the shores of Lake Champlain. As a young adult, Rebecca studied landscape management at Springfield Technical Community College and later environmental design at UMass Amherst. She accomplished these degrees while working full time at Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary and serving on two town boards (conservation and master plan) and as a director for Opacum Land Trust.
Rebecca’s position as education coordinator at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a perfect combination of her varied experience and interests, and she is thrilled to be part of the Gardens. Furthermore, she and her partner, Joe, are delighted to be “planting their roots” in coastal Maine.
