Art Exhibit Openings


Opening Reception: From the Mountains to the Sea: A juried exhibit of native New England plants

Saturday August 9, 5 - 7 p.m.
Free, public reception in the Bosarge Family Education Center

Come enjoy the intricate beauty of original botanical artworks depicting New England native plants, a juried exhibit of plant portraits from the New England Society of Botanical Artists, NESBA. From the Mountains to the Sea: Plants, Trees, and Shrubs of New England is designed to promote public appreciation of the art and science of botanical art and illustration and to celebrate the diversity and beauty of plants from our own backyards. Live Botanical Artist Demonstration

Enjoy a stunning, juried exhibit of botanical art by more than 40 artists featuring New England’s own native plants. Come see a live artist demonstration by NESBA and Maine artist Kate MacGillivary at 2 p.m., then attend the opening reception at 5 p.m.

Membership Meeting and Celebration

We will celebrate YOU - our wonderful members at the 2nd annual Member Meeting & Celebration! The theme this year is the "The Five Senses Experience." We will kick it off with a report from President of the Board Susan Russell and Executive Director Bill Cullina. Then we will venture out into the Gardens where we have some fun surprises in store--including live jazz, fall-flavored treats, and a raffle--so make sure you don't miss it!
