Join Maine biologist Glen Mittelhauser at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens on Thursday, April 25, as he describes the Baxter State Park Flora Inventory, a collaborative endeavor to study and document the flora of Katahdin and Baxter State park. Get an insider’s look at this ambitious project, which has attracted many volunteers, and enjoy Glen’s many stunning images of the wild landscapes, natural communities and unique plants of this untamed region of interior Maine.

Glen Mittelhauser is the Executive Director for Maine Natural History Observatory, a non-profit research organization dedicated to improving the understanding of natural resources in Maine through research and publications.  Glen is also the managing editor for Northeastern Naturalist and Southeastern Naturalist, two scientific research journals.  He is lead author of The Plants of Acadia National Park, a photographic field guide to the plants of the Park region, and one of the primary authors for Sedges of Maine: A Field Guide to Cyperaceae.
