This magical and popular event that’s free with Gardens admission is returning for its sixth year, better than ever. During this three-day weekend jam-packed with fun and entertainment, young fairies, gnomes, and elves will enjoy building fairy houses, fairy arts and crafts, and games including the Gnome Toss and Gnome Bowling, with prizes of course! They’ll delight in stories and readings by popular authors and storytellers, book signings, a parade (costumes are welcome at the Festival), a fairy tea with iced tea or “gnome punch,” live performances, make & take craft activities, designer fairy houses on display, and the great bubble machine!

The Festival will include a full line-up of the best children’s performers around. In the past we’ve presented a parade by Shoestring Theater, the Portland School of Ballet, Grammy-nominated children’s singer Judy Pancoast, the Freeport Shakespeare Festival’s children’s troupe, a marionette show, and many more! This year you will see an expanded week of workshops, events, and activities leading up to the three-day event.

Festival hours are 1:00-4:00 p.m. daily. Check here for more details and schedule updates.
