Countless thousands of seedlings sprout up under our varied plantings each spring at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.  Participants will gather these desirable “volunteers” before they get weeded. Bill will begin with a lecture on seedling care and handling, plus the best potting mixes, containers, and fertilizers.  Then he’ll lead the class through the Gardens on the great seedling rescue mission!  Go home with dozens of new ornamental seedlings to transplant to your own garden.

William Cullina is Executive Director of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. He was formerly the Director of Horticulture and Plant Curator at the Gardens, and also worked for many years as Nursery Director for the New England Wild Flower Society.  He is a well-known author and recognized authority on North American native plants.
