Iris Bloomin in front of the Visitor Center - W CullinaThere are limitless ways to explore Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. You can experience the Gardens in every season and see the shoreline at every tide. You can discover each trail, on a quick hike or at a leisurely pace. You can try to find all the benches, or pieces of sculpture, or rhododendrons on the property. You can make your ‘finds’ through the lens of a camera – or a magnifying glass.

If you’re a youngster, you can make your way through the Fairy House Village or join in a scavenger hunt. You and your grown-ups are also able to learn and play and imagine in the fantastic Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden.

Because the Gardens are open daily, year-round, you can explore on foot or on snowshoes…or on cross-country skis. This section will help you get to know both the multitude of features that comprise the Gardens and where you can find them, even if it’s just until they’re transplanted or pop up somewhere else.

You can learn more on our FloraFind program.
