Image Gallery: Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden
The Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden is open! Kids and their grown-ups are discovering and enjoying every inch of this two-acre garden, and those with family memberships can return as often as they like with no admission fee. You’ll find feature after feature offering opportunities for active play and learning or quiet reading and contemplation. Whales spray, dragons “growl,” and a bronze bear roams the Blueberry Islands. There are boats to climb in, a maze to conquer, and a tree house with a rope bridge to cross. A topiary Miss Rumphius and her cat live beside the Lupine Meadow. The Story Barn is full of wonderful books, and Storytime in the Garden is another great way for kids to experience reading. A coop nearby holds live chickens. In this exuberant garden, flowers and plants are in every size, color, and shape. But even the best photos can’t do justice to this masterpiece. Please visit soon to see it for yourself!
