A Fantastic Fall Season
In addition to the masses of brilliantly colored flowers and tall, graceful grasses that are signs of the season at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, this year thousands of pumpkins appeared in starring roles in autumnal displays, indoors and out. Whimsical and imaginative scarecrows created by local schools and groups added to the appeal for all ages.
Storytimes continue every Monday at 10 a.m. right through the winter – in the Story Barn in the Children’s Garden until the end of the month and then in the Education Center.
The Frozen Turkey Hunt, on Saturday, November 23, beginning at 11 a.m., is a great time to win turkeys and other items for a Thanksgiving feast.
The Gardens Gift Shop is closed for the season but will open for a special sale on Saturday, November 23 – the day of the Frozen Turkey Hunt and Boothbay Harbor’s early-bird sale. The Kitchen Garden Café is closed for the season. Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is open daily year-round, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
