There's no end to the fun and learning for children at the Gardens.

At Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, children can learn about gardening, wildlife, flowers and trees, veggies, and lots more. We emphasize reading and offer memorable hands-on art-and-craft activities. We include the whole family in many of our programs, and there truly is something for everyone – and all ages.

Whether for after-school programs, nature camps, storytelling, cooking classes, art workshops, or other terrific interactive sessions, the two-acre Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden and Bosarge Family Education Center are fabulous settings for many of our programs for kids and families. And don’t miss one of our signature events – the exciting annual Maine Fairy House Festival in August!

Check our calendar for single programs and/or those that require pre-registration (such as the Nature Adventure Camp and Nature Explorers Camp). We also offer ”drop-in” programs, including the popular Storytimes, that are free for Gardens visitors.
