Boothbay Festival of Lights
Wintertime on the Boothbay peninsula has taken on a whole new meaning! The Boothbay region’s newest winter festival – Boothbay Festival of Lights! – is gearing up to be even better than last year. The region will be welcoming visitors to come and enjoy a wide variety of activities, dining, shopping, and lodging experiences.
The towns of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport and Edgecomb have teamed up again to present something quite special to all visitors on the peninsula. From a festively and brilliantly lit Boothbay Common and downtown area to shops, restaurants and other businesses open for the duration of the festival, the region will be the place to be this winter.
There will be shuttle buses running from downtown Boothbay Harbor to the Gardens so that getting around town and “seeing it all” will be simple. Visitors will be able to park once and start having fun. They’ll sing along with carolers as Santa arrives by boat. They’ll ride on the North Pole Express and catch the Harbor Lights parade of boats. They’ll savor some of the best seafood in Maine and finish their gift shopping with treasures from local artisans. Many choose to book a room in one of our region’s quaint bed and breakfast inns or hotels. They’ll take their family to Gardens Aglow and explore the Boothbay Region during our “off season” and discover how we sparkle in the winter.
