Magical Night Garden Walk for All Ages

with Erika Huber
Saturday, September 26, 2015
6 - 7:30 p.m.

Join us on this family-friendly guided walk through our Gardens and surrounding woodlands at dusk. We'll discover and learn how to identify the nighttime critters that call our Gardens home and learn the secret to why some flowers bloom at night. We'll also dissect an owl pellet, one of our residents of the night, to puzzle out what it had for dinner and investigate a part of the garden where it is nighttime all the time.

Spells and Potions from the Witch’s Garden

with Erika Huber
Saturday, October 10, 2015
10 a.m. - noon
for ages 5 & up

Have you ever wondered what kind of plants can be used to protect you from spirits, harmful magic, vampires, ghosts, scorpions and other venomous creatures? We'll go on a hunt through our Gardens in search of our magical plants and learn how they can be used in spells and potions for protection, love, invisibility, memory, youthfulness and good luck. We'll also fashion a wand out of an apple branch and make a special potion to put your cat (or your neighbor's cat) under a spell!
