Please join us for a festive groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on the Bosarge Family Education Center at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. We expect that this much-needed facility will meet standards to become a LEED-Platinum (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), net-zero-energy structure and will be the greenest building in Maine.  This will definitely be a groundbreaking education center in many senses of the word.

After brief remarks and the groundbreaking ceremony, refreshments will be served in the Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden (weather permitting) or in the Visitor Center.

Where:   The Education Center site is adjacent to the Visitor Center, at the head of the Birch Allée.
