Kitchen Garden Café

The Kitchen Garden Café in the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Visitor Center offers fresh and delicious fare, whether for lunch or a snack. Whenever possible, we use local and organic ingredients. Because we use only the best available ingredients, our menu changes frequently based on availability and season. Packaged snacks are also available in the Gardens Gift Shop.

New for 2014 – stop by the new walk-up window on the Kitchen Garden Terrace for quick dining service daily.

Kitchen Garden Dinner Series featuring Maine’s top chefs, spring and late-summer teas, and other events provide more opportunities for visitors to enjoy our beautiful café.

Catered lunches are available for groups year-round with advance reservations.

The Kitchen Garden Café is open from April 15 through October.
Hours are usually 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Each year, the Kitchen Garden Dinner Series draws "foodies" across Maine and because seating is limited, dinners typically sell out quickly. Wine and gratuities are included. Should the event be sold out and you wish to be placed on our waiting list, please contact Courtney Locke at clocke@mainegardens.org.

Fuel, located in the historic Lyceum Hall in Lewiston, Maine, is a Modern Bistro and wine bar. Fuel's cuisine is solidly based around French Country food, with some American twists. Approachable, hearty cuisine, done well.

Tasting Menu for October 7:
First
Seared trout with corn puree, quinoa salad, heirloom tomato and peach salsa

Second
Local Pork Belly (Big Daddy’s Farms, Whitefield), pumpkin puree and caramelized pears

Third Lamb Pot Au Feu - with turnip, parsnip, carrots leeks and onions.
Marrow bone, potato, broth, baguette

Fourth Cranberry carrot cake. Cream cheese frosting, nuts, dried fruit
