In this inclusive movement workshop led by Spark Inclusive Arts, participants will explore creative self-expression through movement improvisation using the DanceAbility method. Discover new ways to connect with yourself and others in a welcoming environment designed for people of all abilities, ages, and levels of experience. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, as we will be dancing outdoors, weather permitting.

Instructor Bio(s)
Michaela Knox is a Maine-based performer, choreographer, and teacher. She is the founding director of Spark Inclusive Arts and is a Master Trainer of the DanceAbility method, founded by Alito Alessi. She holds an MA in Educational Leadership and was a company member of 20 Moons Dance Theatre from 2014-2018. Knox has created mixed-ability performance work throughout the southwest and New England for the last 9 years. She is passionate about supporting others in the discovery and research of their self-expression and considers it her life’s work to help dissolve barriers between people with and without disabilities, with the hope of creating a more inclusive society for all people.
