Maureen Heffernan has been the executive director of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens since 2004. She travels extensively to speak about the Gardens and gives presentations and workshops to garden clubs, community groups, and at regional and national conferences. She is the author of Hershey Children’s Garden, A Place to Grow, was a contributor for 500 Popular Annuals and Perennials for American Gardeners, and has written a number of Burpee American Gardening and Burpee Seeds books.
