Everyday landscaping choices can either create—or destroy—the habitat that wildlife populations so urgently need. In this highly engaging, multi-day class, we will study the essential elements of habitat and learn to design, plant, and shape landscapes in ways that are most beneficial to wildlife at any scale.

The course begins with a short online lecture followed by an interactive workshop and field study at the Gardens. Participants will learn to skillfully read the landscape through the eyes of a wildlife ecologist and apply that knowledge to make impactful decisions about any landscape they take care of.
