Through immersive photos, videos, and guided commentary, explore a variety of garden spaces—from sunny slopes to gardens created from former lawn areas, or the transformation of a gravel parking lot into a lush, biodiverse landscape. Along the way, participants will gather ideas for their own landscapes and learn practical strategies for building biodiversity, resilience, and lasting beauty.

Rachel Emus is the Garden Manager at Native Gardens of Blue Hill and a landscape designer focused on native plant stewardship. With fifteen years of hands-on experience, she teaches practical, place-based approaches to creating gardens that support both people and the ecosystems they inhabit.
Native Gardens of Blue Hill is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the beauty and ecological value of native plants. Through its four-acre public garden of Maine native plants, hands-on workshops, mentorship and training programs, community events, plant sales, and educational resources, the organization inspires community members to cultivate landscapes that strengthen local ecology and foster biodiversity.
