Monday–Friday, July 6–10, 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Creating, exploring, and playing are powerful ways young children learn. When creative opportunities are presented in a natural setting, children’s imaginations and sense of wonder abound. Join us for a week of learning about the natural world through nature play, nature-centered creative arts, and exploration. Camp activities will include multi-sensory mindfulness games and playful discovery and investigations. Through these experiences, children will leave camp with a deeper understanding of the connections between plants, animals, and themselves. Together, we will—as Rachel Carson once said—“discover the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.â€

Note: Drop-off for this camp starts at 9 a.m. Programming starts at 9:30 a.m.

Scholarships are available for families with a financial need. To request an application, please email Beth Jarvis at ejarvis@mainegardens.org.

Extended Explorations Aftercare
1:30 – 4 p.m. every day after camp ends
Does your child want extra time after camp to explore the Children’s Garden, catch frogs, or build a fairy house? Does a later pick-up time work better for you?
In our Extended Explorations, campers can spend an extra two hours exploring, playing, and discovering after the regular camp day ends. Youth education staff members will lead activities, including games, hikes, and nature discovery in our gardens and woodlands. Pick up time runs from 3:30-4 p.m. To register for this program, select the option with the Extended Explorations add-on when you add it to your cart.
