Homeschool Days: Fur, Feathers & Feet (Ages 3-10)

Chewonki brings their traveling natural history program to the Gardens! Discover the differences and similarities between birds and mammals as we encourage active learning by dressing two students in a bear and a bird costume. Participants handle and examine beak, foot, and feather specimens to get a closer look at each animal’s special adaptations. One of Chewonki’s owls and a live, non-releasable mammal bring these ideas to life!

Each homeschool ticket includes admission for a child and a chaperone. Any extra adults pay $12/each. Children under 3 are free and do not require a ticket. Families who register multiple children or enroll in multiple programs will receive a discount at checkout.
