Spring Nature Writing Workshop
Register Now:Have you ever experienced a moment in nature that you couldn’t put into words? This three-hour writing workshop will begin with a short hike to observe the Gardens’ unique surroundings, followed by guided reflection, generative prompts, and group workshopping to distill these moments in nature into resonant writing. Participants will also explore examples of poetry, essays, and fiction by Maine authors and about the natural landscapes of Maine. Sharing your work and responding to others’ work will be encouraged. This course is open to writers of all forms and genres.
Instructor Bio(s)
Andy Juele (she/her) is a Filipina-American poet and writer. She studied Creative Writing and English Literature at New Jersey City University and holds an M.Ed in Community Engagement from Merrimack College. Andy’s work examines the natural world, grapples with multifaceted identities, delights in food, and considers decolonization through artistic expression.
