In this three-part series, we will guide students in applying ecologically sound gardening methods to their own landscapes. We’ll explore the foundations of ecological and sustainable horticulture, native plant selection, site assessment, responsible plant and seed sourcing, and planting design based on natural plant communities. Topics will include proper planting practices, low-input management of the landscape, optimizing habitat for wildlife, and native plant selection and design for your landscape.
