Students will explore flower photography as portraiture, learning the equipment and methods Kathleen uses to create her images. Topics include lens choice, lighting, subject selection, focus issues, aperture choices, background selection, and how to simplify a subject to truly capture its natural beauty. Please bring your camera and a lens that allows you to get in close to the flowers.

Kathleen Clemons is a Maine professional photographer known for her creative use of natural light and unique flower portraits. She has a passion for making photographs and a degree in education, and loves to teach others how to improve their photography skills. Kathleen teaches many location workshops each year, and she is also an instructor for the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and has filmed classes for Creative Live, Craftsy and Lensbaby University.
