What’s In Bloom – June 18, 2024

What's In Bloom

Highlights: This week, a rainbow of various false indigo cultivars (Baptisia spp.) reach the peak of their blooms throughout Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. The vivid magenta blooms of the Sonic Bloom® Pink weigela (Weigela florida ‘Bokrasopin’) can be spotted encircling the ponds in the Pond Garden. A definitive must-see area is the Arbor Garden, whose namesake structure is enveloped in a stunning climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea petiolaris) and flanked by blooming roses (Rosa spp.)—a favorite of both our visitors and our pollinators!
