Trees of Maine: ID & Management

Whether you’re a land steward, forestry student, or simply passionate about the outdoors, particpants ages 14-adult are invited to join Shane Duigan, Maine District Forester, to learn about the successional development of the Maine forest, its ecological significance, management strategies, and the soils that anchor and sustain the trees. 

Shane Duigan serves as a district forester for a number of counties in the state through the Maine Forest Service. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Forestry and holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Maine at Orono.
