Trees of the Trolls Tour

June 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Friday, repeating until October 14, 2022

The trolls have emerged at the Gardens—and they’re guarding the seeds of Maine’s most important tree species, hidden deep in our woods! In this guided tour, learn about some of Maine’s native trees, their significance in our landscape, and many of the threats our forests face. Take a deep dive into the lessons of forest ecology, and discover new ways to become a better steward of this ecosystem. To join, please meet outside the Lyn and Daniel Lerner Visitor Center by the Heafitz Wetland Bridge. Note that we will only see three trolls on this tour and the emphasis will be on the Maine forest.
