Support both healthy gardens and the health of Maine’s landscape and ecology in this community forum on integrated pest management (IPM), an environmentally sound approach to managing pests in gardens, farms, and forests. In partnership with the IPM Council of Maine, five panelists representing various specialties, including organic farming, ornamental horticulture, agronomy, entomology, and pathology, will share their knowledge in this free community event to help Mainers support healthy gardens, outdoors and indoors. Ideal for anyone with a stake in the health of Maine’s landscape and ecology, this 90-minute event will provide introductory insight about common-to-emerging pest concerns and discuss the practices, learn about the resources available to Mainers, and feature recent studies and discoveries that are consistently occurring. Come with your questions!
